Plot

With the help of Shawn (who borrowed hair straightener from his sister), they manage to make things go horribly wrong, as Cory leaves the hair straightener in his hair for far too long, making his hair look ridiculous.

Cory finds that his current friends, even Shawn, are not too accepting of him because of his hair, so he attempts to put the curls back in with ladies' curlers. However, this only makes his hair worse and he is met with more ridicule on the next day of school.

At lunch, Cory found that he had been voted out of his seat in the lunchroom, and instead of making a huge production, he decides to join the school's outcasts, a group of which Topanga Lawrence is a part of, though he still finds a few of them a bit unnerving. It is there that he finds that they are on a mission: to keep the school's librarian in her position, a position that the school board has decided to remove from her and give to someone else. He joins them in blocking the exit hall of the school at the end of the day, where he convinces a large number of his fellow students to sign their petition.

Topanga is particularly impressed by Cory's heroics and cleverness, and she kisses him.

Sun. The only. The one.

Doughnut in the sky.

Humpback whale. So pale.

Exhaust. Is all lost?

Doughnut in the sky.
