Plot[]

After spending more than a year searching across the country for his wife, Virna, Chet Hunter has returned home to be with his son, Shawn. The two men both come to realize that they need each other, with or without Virna. Unbeknownst to them, the woman they both long for has returned to Philadelphia. She has rented a room at the motel just across the street from the trailer park.

One day, they come up with a plan to find out why she came back, and to make sure that she stays for good. Using Cory as a mediator, everyone soon discovers that they all want the same thing: to be a happy family together.

Making matters even worse for Cory, he learns from Mr. Feeny that the lunch lady at John Adams High, Brenda Hibbard, has passed away. Cory worries that she will be forgotten, and he comes up with a plan to prevent that from happening.
